Trivia about Fleetwood Mac and Fleetwood Mac Tours

  • In addition to touring in 2009, Fleetwood Mac plans to re-issue their album, “Rumors” on a CD/DVD box set.
  • Before becoming members of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were in a band called the Fritz.  The band became reasonably popular in the San Francisco area and they even opened concerts for acts like Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.
  • The only member of Fleetwood Mac who has been in the band since its creation is drummer Mick Fleetwood.
  • During the Fleetwood Mac tour in 1971, slide guitar player Jeremy Spencer seemingly vanished.  He had left to go “get a magazine” and then never came back.  Later on, however, the band found out that Spencer left to join a religious group called “Children of God.”
