Backstreet’s Back! The Backstreet Boys have recently announced dates for their second North American leg. Fortunately, we have Backstreet Boys tickets for this tour. The current Backstreet Boys tour supports the Backstreet Boys’ most recent album,
Unbreakable, which reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 album chart. This leg of the Backstreet tour will begin October 30th in Reading, PA and will visit cities such as Wallingford, CT, Nampa ID, and Pheonix, AZ. The boys will be touring as a quartet, as bandmember Kevin Richardson left the band in 2006 to start a family. If you want to hear the four men perform the songs on their newest album, you can purchase Backstreet Boys tickets from the links below. Quick Facts about Backstreet Boys and Backstreet Boys Tours
- The Backstreet Boys are the most commercially successful boy band to date. They have sold approximately 120 million albums. Additionally, from 1997-2005, the Backstreet Boys were number 1 in concert and album sales (see above for Backstreet Boys tickets for their current concert tour).
- The Backstreet Boys first hit it big in Europe (before making it in the U.S.). In 1996, they earned a Platinum record in Germany. There was also a Backstreet Boys tour in Canada and Asia before the boys made it big in their home country. Their fame in the U.S. finally came in 1997 after they released their single, “Quit Playing Games With My Heart.”
- During the Backstreet Boys tour in 1998, Brian Littrell underwent open heart surgery. He had been born with a heart murmur and had almost died at the age of four because of a bacterial infection. Instead of continuing to put it off, he finally had the surgery at the insistence of his girlfriend.
- In 2001, the second North American leg of the Backstreet Boys tour (the Black and Blue Tour) was put on hold because A.J. McLean had checked himself into rehab for drug addiction after band member Kevin Richardson had an intervention for him in Boston.
- The current Backstreet Boys tour (you can find Backstreet Boys tickets above) features only four of the five original members of the Backstreet Boys (Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, and A.J. McLean). This is because Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006 to start a family.
