- Slipknot were briefly involved in some controversy with Burger King, after the fast food giant created a fictional band “Coq Roq” to market their chicken fries. Slipknot claimed that Burger King was trying to capitalize on the band’s image because the fictional band was, like Slipknot, a heavy metal band that wore masks. However, Burger King ultimately dropped the marketing campaign.
